The four accused in the horrific Hathras gang-rape case are all set to be defended by AP Singh, the lawyer who earlier defended the four accused of the Nirbhaya case.
Reportedly, the Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, an upper-caste body has reached out to AP Singh to defend the accused persons as they belong to the upper caste. The decision was taken by former Union Minister Raja Manvendra Singh, who is the national president of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha.
The Hathras case has received support from the Upper caste communities, with demand for an unbiased probe, as the nation rages over the ever mounting caste-led-rape cases in the country.
Notably, national media have reported that Seema Kushwaha, council of the Nirbhaya victim will be representing the 20-year-old Hathras victim.
