GUWAHATI: The Supreme Court on Thursday, March 19, refused to entertain a plea of one of the convicts, Mukesh Singh, challenging the Delhi High Court’s order rejecting his claim that he was not in Delhi when crime took place.

All four convicts are to be hanged tomorrow at 5:30 am as per March 5 death warrant, reported ANI.

Further, Delhi's Patiala House Court dismissed the plea of 2012 Delhi gangrape convicts seeking a stay on execution.

“After seven years, my daughter's soul will rest in peace," Asha Devi, the victim’s mother told PTI. Further, she added, "Finally the convicts will be hanged. Now I will get peace."

On the other hand, AP Singh, convicts lawyer said before the Patiala House Court: “Send them to Indo-Pak border, send them to Doklam, but don't hang them. They are ready to serve the country. I can file an affidavit in this regard.”
