NFR has nearly doubled its festive services with 26 trains and 254 trips this year. This is part of a larger movement by Indian Railways. It is running more than 6,000 special trains across the nation to manage festive travel demand, a significant increase from last year's 4,429 services.
According to the DRDO, the new additional trains are to enable millions of people travelling to and fro from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar to travel over the festive season, with passengers likely to arrive safely and comfortably at their destinations.
