NFR Announces Special Trains For Post-Chhath Festival Rush On November 12

 

GUWAHATI: The Indian Railways announced the operation of eight special trains on Monday, November 11, to combat the post-Chhath festival passenger surge at major railway stations. These trains will be in service on Tuesday, November 12, to accommodate the large number of passengers travelling back home.

The first service, Train No. 05832, will connect Prayagraj to Rangapara North. Scheduled to depart from Prayagraj at 5:40 PM on 11th November, it will reach Rangapara North at 10:50 PM the next day.

In Bihar, Train No. 07541 will operate between Katihar and Dauram Madhepura, departing from Katihar at 7 PM and reaching its destination at 10 PM on 12th November. Another Bihar-based service, Train No. 07540, will leave Katihar at 8:30 PM for Manihari, reaching at 9:30 PM on the same evening.

From Gomti Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, Train No. 05741 is scheduled to depart at 9:20 AM on 11th November, heading toward New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. It is set to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 AM on 12th November, offering travel across state lines.

Further, Train No. 05638 will leave Silchar in Assam at 1:50 PM on 11th November and will arrive at Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh by 8:40 AM the next day. In the reverse direction, Train No. 05637 will depart Naharlagun at 10 AM, reaching Silchar at 5:20 AM the following morning. These trains will be crucial for passengers moving between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

For passengers from northern India, Train No. 05635, which departed from Shri Ganga Nagar at 1:20 PM on 10th November, will reach Katihar by 10:20 AM on 12th November and continue onward to Guwahati, arriving at 12:25 AM on 13th November.

Finally, Train No. 05698 will depart Guwahati at 11:55 PM on 12th November and reach New Jalpaiguri by 8:15 AM the following day, providing an overnight service for those travelling across Assam and West Bengal.
