News Of Assam Class XII Result 'Fake', Clarifies Ranoj Pegu

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has clarified that the Class XII results will not be declared today and ‘news’ circulating on the social media is ‘Fake’.

Soon after the SEBA declared the Class X results on Monday, rumours were rife that even the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is also going to announce the Class XII results.

Taking to Twitter, the Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu has clarified that the AHSEC HS results will not be declared today and the news regarding the declaration is fake.

“There is a fake news in circulation that HS Final Exam results will be given today. Don’t heed to such fake news,” Pegu wrote on Twitter.

The SEBA on Monday declared the results of the Class X examination, and the total pass percentage has been recorded at 72.69 per cent as compared to 56.49 per cent last year (2022).

This year, a total of 4,15,323 candidates appeared for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, and 94,912 secured 1st Division marks.

The pass percentage of male students has been 74.71 per cent.  The pass percentage of female students has been 70.96 per cent.

The district with the highest pass percentage in the state is Chirang district with 88.68 per cent and the lowest is Dhubri with 63.35 per cent.

Kamrup (Metro) recorded a pass percentage of 77.18 per cent.
