GUWAHATI: The body of a newborn was found in Maligaon area at around 3 PM on Monday, December 16.

The body seems to be stuck between some rocks in the path of the waterfall with the umbilical cord still attached.
As per Citizen Journalist, Riyansh Das, the body was found floating in a nearby waterfall channel in Maligaon gate no 1, Hillside colony, near the Bipadnashini Mandir in Guwahati.
"The people noticed it a while ago and we have informed the police," Das said.
The police have reached the scene and are investigating the matter.
