Netherlands to partner with Assam for growth in multiple sectors

The Dutch Ambassador to India, Mr Fons Stoelinga called on Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with a delegation of 18 Dutch company representatives and officials in Guwahati.

The Chief Minister held comprehensive discussions with the delegates on river management, infrastructure development, agriculture & tea industry, clean energy, sports, health & industry in presence of ministers and senior officials.

Presenting the Ambassador with traditional bell metal products, the Chief Minister extended invitation to the Dutch Envoy to participate in Global Investors' Summit 2018 and highlighted collaborative opportunities and potential of the State.

Partnering up in life science and health, food and agriculture and infrastructure, Dutch companies pitched their ideas for sustainable business solutions to Chief Minister Sonowal and other officials of the Assam government.

"Business is a way to empower people and a tool for development. Business partnerships between NL and Assam bring sustainable solutions in different sectors," Stoelinga pointed out.
