GUWAHATI: The National Commission for Women (NCW)  has summoned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, Jaspreet Singh, and Ashish Chanchlani, along with India's Got Latent producers, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra, for a hearing on February 17 at the NCW office in New Delhi.

The summons comes in response to widespread public outrage over the controversial statements, which the NCW has deemed vulgar and offensive. In a statement, the Commission emphasized that such remarks violate principles of dignity and respect, particularly in a society that upholds equality and mutual respect.

Under the directives of NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahate, the accused individuals are required to appear in person to address the allegations. The hearing is set to take place at 12 PM.

The controversy erupted after a now-unavailable episode of India’s Got Latent surfaced online, drawing backlash for its explicit and offensive content. Following the uproar, multiple complaints and an FIR were filed against the creators, prompting the NCW to intervene.
