GUWAHATI: A nine-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Bharalumukh on Sunday, February 23. The incident occurred around 3:50 PM when the child’s parents were briefly away.

According to the security personnel of the apartment on KRB Road, the child’s mother rushed him to the nearest hospital as soon as they arrived home. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, according to reports he was found hanging from the door grill with a belt around the neck.
Police reached the scene shortly after and were later joined by a team from the Crime Investigation Department (CID) at night to assist in the probe.
An official from Bharalumukh Police Station told GPlus, "The post-mortem report does not indicate foul play, but we are continuing our investigation and looking for possible leads."
