Muslim Man on 800 km Long Foot Journey to Attend Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan

GUWAHATI: A Muslim man has made it to the news for having commenced his 800 km journey, on foot, from his village Chandkhuri in Chattisgarh, which according to ancient tales, was the birthplace of Kaushalya, mother of Lord Rama.

Mohammad Faiz Khan, a devotee of Lord Rama, believes all Indians to be of Hindu origin and that all our ancestors were Hindus. The man claimed to have walked 15,000 km to various temples and has even stayed there.

“Our main ancestor is Lord Rama. Allama Iqbal (Pakistan’s national poet) had tried to explain in a way in which he said that the one who has perfect sight, will consider Lord Rama as lord of India. With this reverence, I am taking soil from Kaushalya’s birthplace at Chandkhuri to Ayodhya for dedicating it during the ground-breaking ceremony,” he said.

Special arrangements are being made for the Bhumi Pujan  of the proposed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Soil and water from Sangam, (confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers) will be taken to Ayodhya for the Bhumi Pujan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the temple on August 5.
