GUWAHATI: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati predicted moderate rain and thunderstorms, likely to occur over Assam this week.
The state will also witness light to moderate rain over this coming weekend which is likely to continue till early next week.
The MET department has also issued warnings of thundersquall with wind speeds as high as 60 kmph at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
A cyclonic circulation extending upto 0.9km above sea level lies over Bangladesh and its neighbouring areas. Isolated places in Assam are also likely to experience heavy rainfall over the course of this entire week.
