GUWAHATI: Deputy Commissioner Kamrup (Metro) Virendra Mittal visited the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Panbazar on July 11.
Along with the Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. Madhav Rajbongshi, Joint Director Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Ganesh Saikia, DC Mittal took stock of the wards of every department, operation theatre, blood bank etc and interacted with some patients of the hospital.
Mittal inspected the canteen of the hospital and asked the manager to maintain its food quality. He even inspected the cooking room of the canteen and interacted with some of the patients who were there. He asked the patients whether they were able to receive health-related government services properly.
Interacting with the staff and the ANM students of the hospital, Mittal, expressed his satisfaction regarding the cleanliness and management of the hospital.
“This is one of the best government hospitals,” said Mittal.
The Deputy Commissioner also advised the Joint Director, Health, to bring heads of other hospitals located in the district to study and understand the environment and management of MMCH.
