GUWAHATI: In a joint operation, Guwahati police from Bharalumukh Police Station along with a team of Tamil Nadu Police carried out a search operation and rescued a missing woman from Maligaon, Guwahati on Tuesday, November 8.
The woman is a resident of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu.
While speaking to G Plus, an official from the Bharalumukh Police Station said, that after they were contacted by the Tamil Nadu Police about the woman, they initiated a search operation and carried out an investigation into the matter. After analysing the Call Detail Records (CDR) and information with the help of various sources, the team from Bharalumukh Police Station were able to trace the woman’s location and find her.
The woman has been handed over to the custody of the Tamil Nadu Police and is being escorted back home.
On asking about the whereabouts of the woman in Guwahati, the official from the Bharalumukh Police Station said, “We cannot disclose the woman’s details since we have handed her over to the Tamil Nadu Police and she is now beyond our jurisdiction.”
