GUWAHATI: A modified silencer on a scooty drew the attention of the Team Traffic from Paltan Bazaar Police Station. The officers conducted a routine stop near the Paltan Bazaar junction, where they pulled two minors riding the vehicle on Tuesday, February 4.

Upon inspection, it was revealed that the scooty was not owned by the riders, but was, in fact, stolen. The two individuals, aged 16 and 17, were riding the vehicle without authorisation.
Both minors, who are college students, were taken into custody for further questioning. Their actions have highlighted concerns about the rising prevalence of vehicle theft and the involvement of underage individuals in such activities.
Authorities are currently working to return the seized scooty to its rightful owner. Investigations are ongoing, and legal action is being taken as part of the ongoing inquiry.
