Guwahati City Police rescued a minor boy from Azara on Tuesday, December 2 after he threatened to kill himself on social media.
The boy had posted a video clip on Facebook displaying cuts on his hands and threatened to kill himself if his parents did not buy him a DSLR Camera.
Reportedly, he had been asking his parents to buy him an expensive digital camera for quite some time now but the latter could not do so because of financial reasons. So the boy cut his hand with a blade like object and threatened to commit suicide.
The social media monitoring wing informed police about the post, the police then reached his residence to rescue him. The minor is currently undergoing counselling.
