GUWAHATI: A minor girl from Assam was rescued in New Delhi after she was trafficked and forced into prostitution nine months ago.
Based on a report by the Times of India, the 16-year-old and her three sisters were brought to Delhi by a man who promised them well paying jobs.

However on August 19, the girl managed to escape and reach Baldi railway station where she told a woman everything that happened and the latter informed the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW).
Following this, the DCW shifted the minor to a shelter home and an FIR was lodged at Narela police station.
