GUWAHATI: The mid-day meal workers association on November 12 protested outside Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya's residence in the GS road of Guwahati.
Reportedly, more than 1000 mid-day meal workers have gheraoed the Minister's residence which made the entire GS road blocked.
The workers demanded the state govt's decision to withdraw the contract given to the NGO's to provide mid-day meals in the school.

The protesters will continue to stage protest until the minister comes with a permanent solution.
