GUWAHATI: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued an order for the extension of the nationwide lockdown till 31st May.
However, in lockdown 4.0, more relaxations have been added compared to the previous phases.
In the new guidelines the MHA has continued the concept of night curfew to restrain people from coming out of their homes.
The MHA recommended curfew timings continue as per the lockdown 3.0 from 7 pm to 7 am.

Given that the states and UTs are permitted to adjust the guidelines as per the requirements of the respective state, Assam had earlier followed the curfew hours from 6 pm to 6 am.
Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had mentioned that all offices and business are to shut down at 5 pm so that people could reach home by 6 pm.
Now, given the new guidelines of MHA, curfew timings applicable for Assam under lockdown 4.0 are awaited from the Assam government.
At the time of writing this report, no new orders regarding the curfew hours have been announced by Assam government and the timing of curfew continues to be from 6 pm to 6 am.
