MHA Opens Up Inter/Intra State Travel Under Unlock 1

GUWAHATI: There will be no limitation on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods and no separate permission will be required for the same, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines issued today, May 30.

National directives for COVID-19 management shall continue to be followed throughout the country, with a view to ensure social distancing and states will decide on activities permitted outside Containment Zones based on their assessment of the situation as deemed necessary in this phase.

Vulnerable persons such as persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women, and children below the age of 10 years, are advised to stay at home, except for essential requirements.

Authorities are also advised to encourage the use of Aarogya Setu app to ensure safety of individuals from being infected by the Coronavirus. 

These guidelines have been issued by MHA, Government of India. Assam state government guidelines may differ from the same and are expected to be issued early next week.
