Meghalaya Govt to Close Entry Points

GUWAHATI: The Meghalaya government, on July 15, announced the closure of entry points into the state from July 21 to 31.

Issuing an order, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the state government has decided to close all entry points at Byrnihat, Ratacherra, Bajengdoba, Tikrikilla, Mirjumla and Hallidayganj from July 24 to 31.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that except emergency services including medical and essentials, transit movements of Assam vehicles will not be allowed.
