Meet Discusses Preparation For Delhi’s Bodo Mahotsav 2024

 

GUWAHATI: Chief Secretary of Assam Ravi Kota chaired a meeting with the Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region on Friday, November 8, in view of the upcoming Bodo Mahotsav celebrations. This festival will be celebrated at the SAI Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi from November 15 to 16.

The meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and representatives from the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) to coordinate the details of the event.

The Mahotsav will celebrate peace and resilience following the 2020 Bodo Peace Accord, emphasising a vision of unity, transformation, and progress for the Bodo community.

Key attractions include open sessions and cultural showcases focused on Bodoland’s rich tourism, cultural heritage, and biodiversity, aimed at fostering economic growth.

The grand event will ultimately aim to bring together leaders, artists, and stakeholders, highlighting the Bodo community's contributions to India's development and honouring the historic accords that empower them.
