GUWAHATI: Adding another feather to the cap of MC Mary Kom, ace boxer from Manipur, she was awarded with the Best Asian Female Athlete award in Malaysia by Asian Sports Press Union (AIPS) Asia.
The AIPS Asia Congress was held in Selangor, Malaysia and was attended by delegates from around 30 countries.

During the summit, AIPS Asia also presented Asian athletes who excelled in their respective sports with four awards namely the Best Male and Female athletes, and Best Male and Female Teams.
However, Mary Kom could not be present at the event. The Six-time world champion MC Mary Kom was recently selected for the upcoming women's world boxing championships.
Mary Kom, who has already claimed two gold medals this year, has been selected in the 51kg category.
