GUWAHATI: A conman associated with forging land documents was nabbed by Dispur Police on Thursday after a case was registered against him by the victims.
The fraudster identified as Amjad Ali was arrested by police officials from Juripar in the Panjabari area as he was involved in forgery and producing fake land-related documents.
According to officials, Ali used to produce forged land registration documents in the name of deceased people. He was also accused of forging the signature of a deceased person.
Further, the family members of the deceased filed a complaint at Dispur Police Station
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Dispur Police Station said, "We took the necessary actions after the complaint was filed. The case is under investigation."
