GUWAHATI: Over 200 students gathered at the Gauhati University to voice their opposition to the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) on Tuesday night, March 12.
Amidst chants of 'Joi Ai Asom' and 'We won't accept CAA,' the students made their dissent heard, standing united against the contentious legislation.

The protest, led by PGSU Gauhati University, sent a clear message that the students of Assam remain steadfast in their refusal to accept the CAA.
"We the students of Assam will never accept CAA," Das told GPlus.

As tensions rose, around 80 police personnel were deployed to maintain order and place barricades.
