GUWAHATI: A massive fire engulfed Guwahati’s Kahilipara region on January 31.
As per reports, the fire took place at house number 2 of Bhakatgaon area. The owner of the house had somehow managed to escape.
The owner of the house Khireswari Das was alone at her home when the fire broke out.
The fire consumed the whole house along with documents, ornaments and other valuables.
The owner of the house said that the fire broke out because of an electric short circuit which then later spread to the gas cylinders.
The fire was later brought under control by the Assam Fire and Emergency Services personnel along with the help of local people.
This comes after the horrific fire incident on January 23 in Guwahati in which two kids of the same family-Ishan and Iban Goswami were charred to death.
