As per an SDRF member, "The fire has not been doused totally." This observation was made at 10:40 AM.

A visible heavy smoke has been coming out from the back and right side of mall. Fire tenders have reached the spot and sprinkled water from the both the sides with the SDRF professionals entering inside from the other side.

The fire initiated at the kitchen of Underdoggs Sports Bar and Grill which has been burnt completely while the restaurant was masively damaged.

"The problem with pouring water is the smoke enters inside, which blinds our fire fighters," a fire fighter on ground told G Plus.

As of 10:40 AM, while smoke still fumes out of the back side of the mall, there are no visible evidences of fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. As per formal observation, G Plus has been told that the fire might be a result of short circuit.

"Few have also told us that the fire initiated from the kitchen. Currently, it is not possible to ascertain the cause and the amount of damage. We have almost mitigated the fire but the smoke remains," said Sabita Das, official from Guwahati Police.

The loss incurred by Underdoggs and Central Mall is yet to be ascertained.
