GUWAHATI: MC Mary Kom defeated Nikhat Zareen in the finals of the ongoing Women's Boxing Olympic trails in the 51-kg weight category at the Indira Gandhi Stadium on December 28.
Mary Kom, the six-time world champion defeated Zareen 9-1.
Earlier, six time world champion Mary defeated Haryana based boxer Ritu Grewal in a trial bout on December 27.
It is to be mentioned that with this victory Mary Kom will now be unanimously representing India at the Tokyo Olympic Qualifiers in Wuhan, China in February next year.
