GUWAHATI: A man from Majuli, Ridip Saikia attempted a feat for world records by consuming 250 grams of burning charcoal in just five minutes. The record attempt took place on Tuesday, March 4 at the Sarusajai stadium which was organised by the Sports Authority of Assam.

The attempt is being considered for inclusion in the World Book of Records, with the final decision in the hands of the jury members. Their official judgment will determine whether Saikia's effort will be recognised as a world record.
