GUWAHATI: Residents of Dibrugarh have been warned to remain vigilant after reports of a stray leopard sighted within the city limits. The Environment & Forest Department, through the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, has issued an urgent advisory to ensure public safety on Wednesday, March 5.

Forest officials have advised people to stay indoors, especially after dark, and to keep doors and windows securely shut.
Furthermore, the residents are also being told to avoid travelling alone, particularly in areas where the leopard has been spotted, and to remain in groups if movement is necessary.
Concerns have been raised about the safety of children, with officials stressing the need for close supervision, particularly in areas with limited visibility.
