GUWAHATI: A 47-year old man was found dead in Gauhati University Campus on Tuesday, December 17.

The incident was reported around 9:30 AM. The deceased has been identified as Mainul Islam.
Talking to GPlus, an official from Jalukbari police Outpost said, "Islam was discovered hanging in the backside of the administrative building of Gauhati University. He worked as a security guard in the campus. As per preliminary investigation, he ended his life because of family dispute."
Further investigation is under way.
