GUWAHATI: A man in Kumarpara area in Guwahati who was shot at and sustained bullet injuries, succumbed to its injuries on September 12.
As per preliminary reports, the victim identified as Shyam Ratawa was shot by two bike-borne men in Kumarpara area of the city.

Following the incident, the victim was rushed to Marwari Hospital for medical attention. However, later he was referred to Apollo Hospital where he succumbed to its injuries.
The incident occurred at Shri Jagdamba Iron & Steels in Kumarpara.
Earlier today, locals alledged that the miscreants were looking for the proprietor Shyam Sundar Sharma. However, owing to the similarity of their names, his salesman Shyam Ratawa responded when the miscreants called his name. The gang then opened fired and fled from the spot.
Currently, a CID team has reached the spot and investigation in the matter is on.
