Major Drug Bust In Guwahati Leads To Two Arrests

 

GUWAHATI: In a recent event, a team from West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) of Garchuk Police Station busted a drugs operation and apprehended two suspects on August 31. 

The operation was run by two suspects, Abdul Kalam and Md Alauddin. 

During the raid a total of 350 grams of suspected heroin, which was concealed within 29 soap boxes, were seized by the police officials.

Providing details on the operation, an official from Garchuk Police Station said "Abdul Kalam was apprehended in Lulanggaon. After his capture, he led us to his hideout in Helifield, where we also apprehended Alauddin."

Following the success of the operation, the Guwahati Police took it to social media, 'A WGPD team from Gorchuk PS busted a big haul of suspected Heroin - weighing 350 gms - that was concealed in 29 soap boxes. One Abdul Kalam (60) was arrested at Lalunggaon while one Md Alauddin (60) was arrested following a raid on his rented premises in Helifield'

Currently both suspects are now facing charges related to drug trafficking and possession of illegal substances. They will be produced before the court to face legal proceedings.
