GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, apprehended a Lot Mandal identified as Tapan Nath for accepting bribe, on March 27.
The arrest took place at the Titan Hotel, located near the Circle Office in Dalgaon, Darrang district.

Nath was caught in the act while demanding and accepting a bribe in connection with a land-related matter. The operation saw Nath trapped red-handed by the sleuths.

The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, took to X to put out a statement, which read, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Tapan Nath, an Ex, Lot Mandal, after he accepted demanded bribe in hotel Titan, near Circle Office, Dalgaon, Dist-Darrang, in connection with a land related matter.”
