GUWAHATI: During the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2019, polling will take place at 1195 polling stations at 525 locations of the city. Among them will be 10 all women polling stations, informed Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) Biswajit Pegu addressing the media in Guwahati on March 11.
He further added that a total of 54 polling stations across all four constituencies have been identified as critical adding that the number is dynamic and can increase or decrease in the days to come.
Above 5600 officials will be involved in carrying out the electoral process in Kamrup (Metro), besides the involvement of security forces. The election office has also issued toll-free numbers (1950 and 18003543520) for any queries and complaints during the election days.
