GUWAHATI: The local residents managed to apprehend two snatchers who attempted to make a getaway after allegedly robbing a woman of her mobile phone in the Chenikuthi area on October 18.
According to reports, the snatchers forcibly took the woman's mobile phone, identified as Jasmina Sultana, in the Chenikuthi locality and then tried to flee the scene. However, locals who witnessed the incident sprang into action, chased down the culprits, and apprehended them. The accused were then handed over to the authorities at Chandmari Police Station to initiate legal procedures.
Talking to GPlus, an official from Chandmari Police Station stated,” We have the culprits in custody now. During our investigation, the arrested individuals divulged information leading to the capture of the third mobile snatcher. The culprits are Ainul Ali, Younuj Ali, and Bhabatosh Das.”
