Lions Club Confers Lifetime Achievement Award on Raj Kumar More

GUWAHATI: The Lions Club International's District 322G has conferred a Lifetime Achievement Award on Raj Kumar More. 

More had joined Lions Club of Dimapur in the year 1979 and has ever since been an active member of the organization, serving in almost all Club and District positions for over 41 years and he was also nominated for the post of District Governor from Lions Club of Dimapur.

More is currently part of the Village Development Project of his Home Club Lions Club Guwahati CARE and a project for the blind ‘Jyoti Phir Ek Asha’ meant for the inmates of blind schools of 8 North Eastern States including Sikkim in collaboration with Sri Shankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati to screen & identify cases for further evaluation and treatment

He has been conferred with other awards by the club such as the Five Star Governor Award for the Lionistic Year 1997-98, Lions Founder’s Membership Growth Award 1997-98 and the National “Entrepreneur of the Year 2009” Award instituted by ministry of MSME (Micro Small and Medium enterprises), Government of India.

More has also been a life member of ‘All India Science Congress’ and is a Keen lover of nature. He is also a part of a Friendly Village Development Pilot Project at Borka, about 50 km away from Guwahati city.
