GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited Gandhi Mandap atop the Sarania Hill in Guwahati and reviewed developmental works and beautification drive carried out at the site on September 21.
Under the Smart City Project Sonowal asked the officials to start a ‘Light and Sound show’ at the Gandhi Mandap in Guwahati and ensure pure drinking water and sanitation for the visitors.
This initiative has been taken under the Smart City Project which will eventually attract tourists and visitors from the state.
It is to be mentioned that in a meeting Sonowal asked the Guwahati Development Department (GDD) to identify homeless people in the city and develop the available space under flyovers as night shelters along with proper sanitary facilities.
