GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a weather forecast for Assam and adjoining states for the upcoming days.

According to the forecast issued on March 14, light to moderate rain is expected at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, while isolated areas in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may experience light rainfall.
The forecast remains consistent for the following days, with light to moderate rain predicted in Arunachal Pradesh and isolated light rain expected in the aforementioned states through March 16. On March 17 and 18, light rain is forecasted to occur at isolated places across the region.

Additionally, the IMD has issued a warning for thunderstorm and lightning activity in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland on March 14. Residents are advised to take precautions and stay indoors during such weather conditions to ensure their safety.
