GUWAHATI: A leopard entered in a building of GS Colony in the Fatasil Ambari area of Guwahati and attacked at least two people at around 8:15 AM on December 19.
Speaking to GPlus, Raju Das, a resident of GS Colony said, "The leopard found its way to the second floor during the night, probably looking for a safe place. The leopard took shelter there."
The situation escalated when construction workers on the second floor of the building unknowingly disturbed the leopard and in turn were attacked by the feline.
However, talking to GPlus, an official from Bharalumukh Police Station stated, "Two labourers attempted to rescue the leopard, but unfortunately, they became victims of the unexpected confrontation."
The leopard has now been rescued and taken by forest officials.
