GUWAHATI: Union Minister of State (MoS) for road transport and highways, General V K Singh (Retd) on Tuesday said that National Highway projects in Assam have been delayed because of delay in land acquisition for the same.

He was addressing a press conference at BJP Assam headquarters in Guwahati on Tuesday and said that high population density in Assam has led to problems arising in land acquisition.
Singh mentioned that the central government is conducting talks with the state government in this regard.
