GUWAHATI: In a drive against the illegal sale of liquor by restaurants without a bar license, the Excise Dept seized around 36 cartons of Korean liquor on Tuesday night and detailed one from a restaurant named Kori's.
A senior Excise department official talking to G Plus said, "The restaurant was serving liquor without having any bar license. We also seized Korean liquor from the premises of the restaurant."

Kori's restaurant is on the City's RG Barauah Road, commonly called Zoo Road.
One person is detained, and the Excise department is investigating further.
The restaurant will be sealed if required, said another senior Excise official.
