Karbi Anglong mob lynching case shifted to Nagaon

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday ordered the trial of Dokmoka (Karbi Anglong) mob lynching case to shift from  Diphu court in Karbi Anglong to Nagaon District and Sessions Court.

The case filed in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Karbi Anglong, Diphu will be transferred immediately to the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagaon.

A division bench of Gauhati High Court, comprising Chief Justice Ajit Singh and Justice Manojit Bhuyan, directed the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagaon to begin the trial and to hear the case in a fast track court.
