GUWAHATI: Police have apprehended two persons, including a minor, for their alleged role in the defacement of a poster depicting Lord Ram at Shankar Nagar in the Lalganesh area, on April 28.

They were picked based on CCTV footage.

The minor from Dhubri is aged 14 while the other suspect has been identified as Mohidul Haque, 18, who is from Mukalmua.
The duo was working as labourers in Guwahati.
While speaking to GPlus, an official from Fatasil Ambari police station said, "The accused did not paint on the poster only, but on other properties of the locality too. They have been detained and preparation for legal proceedings has been initiated."
