GUWAHATI: The Chief Secretary of Assam, Kumar Sanjay Krishna, on July 24, informed that Kamrup Metro and Kamrup districts would be treated as one district for the movement of individuals.
The notification issued by him further states that the movement of all goods shall continue uninterrupted.

Meanwhile, inter-district movement of citizens is allowed on July 30 and 31 within the state following social distancing protocols and adhering to the COVID-19 regulations as published in the various guidelines by the government.
