Kamrup Metro gets ready for Aadhar enrollment

GUWAHATI: As the state of Assam gets ready for Aadhar, an important meeting on Aadhar enrollment in the Kamrup Metropolitan District was held on 14th September at the Deputy Commissioner's office. 

Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal in his speech asked the verifier and technical persons to work with due diligence in the exercises of Aadhar enrollment. 

It is worth mentioning that 22 Aadhar enrollment centres in the rural area and 20 number of Aadhar enrollment centres in the metro area are being set up at various locations in the district. 

"We have to be the role model for rest of Assam in this regard," Mittal said. 

He also took an account of the power supply, net connection, availability of stationery and furniture to be supplied to the 42 proposed Aadhar centres in the district. 

Officials from APDCL, BSNL, and banks.,42 verifiers and 42 technical supervisors were present at the meeting where the procedure of work to be done in the Aadhar centres for the forthcoming exercise was discussed.
