The Kamakhya Temple complex has been declared as a Swachh Iconic Place. A foundation stone was laid down today at the temple premises by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sonowal said, “We should take initiatives to make Kamkhaya the most sought after religious place and support Prime Minster Narendra Modi's initiative of a Swachh and clean India.”
The Government has also donated Rs. 25 Crores for the development of the temple.
