GUWAHATI: Talking about the metro-rail project, State Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Wednesday, October 16, stated that in the first phase, a pilot metro rail project from Kamakhya to Narengi will be set up.
Further, Patowary stated that BJP has not given up on the project and it will be an integral part of developing Guwahati as a gateway to south-asian countries under the ‘Act East Policy.’
He also pitched about the introduction of toll gates in the state to collect revenue for the maintenance of highways.

“Meghalaya has already started collection through two toll gates,” he added.
