GUWAHATI: Noted journalist Dhruba Mahanta has been appointed as the Principal Press Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam.
Mahanta will serve as the Principal Press Secretary to CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, pending the finalization of the terms and conditions of his service.
An order in this regard was issued on May 20 signed by the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Samir K Sinha.
Dhruba Mahanta is working as the Consulting Editor at News Live.
Two other inclusions have also been made in the Chief Minister's office.
Naba Patgiri has been appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Communications, Public Relations, and Protocol.
Goutam Prasad has been appointed as the official Personal Assistant (PA) to the Chief Minister.
