GUWAHATI: The Assam Chief Minister presided over a comprehensive review of the redevelopment plans for Janata Bhawan in Guwahati.
The proposed master plan aims to transform the Secretariat Complex by introducing new facilities and cutting-edge infrastructure.
The focal point of the redevelopment plan is the creation of a modern Secretariat Complex with an interconnected Assembly Building and Annexe 2.
New approach roads leading to the Secretariat Complex are slated for construction, simplifying the commute for government officials and the general public alike. This move is expected to alleviate traffic congestion around the complex.
One of the key highlights of the project is the development of a state-of-the-art CM Building.
Hi-tech security systems will be deployed at all entrance points of the Secretariat Complex. This measure is aimed at safeguarding the well-being of the occupants and fortifying the compound against potential security threats.
Furthermore, the redevelopment plan includes the construction of two multi-level car parks, capable of accommodating 750 four-wheelers and 1000 two-wheelers.
A multi-cuisine cafeteria and a creche facility will also be developed within the premises.
The plan additionally, encompasses extensive landscaping, vibrant lighting, and the creation of open spaces.
