Defying the orders of DCP (W), Mridulananda Sarma, public have turned the newly constructed Jalukbari flyover into a litter ground and a parking place for the three and four wheelers.
The bridge which was expected to boost the tourism and economic sector of the region is fast losing its beauty.
Mridulananda Sarma, DCP (W) while talking to G Plus said, "We have over and over imposed the rules. But we need public cooperation too. Without public cooperation, it becomes difficult for us to maintain any discipline in the city." He further added, "We do our best to keep the bridge clean, but if people chew paan and spit on the bridge, we canot stop that."
